I again put this down to a quality control issue, presuming perhaps the plush was pre-owned, had been re-labelled, and sold as new. The label on mine was on the wrong hand, and missing the walmart exclusive sticker. Only really noticeable when doing a side-by-side touch test with a real one, but worth pointing out.5. It's not much difference, but it gives the plush a slightly different softness and texture feel to the originals. Fur pile (the length of each strand of fur) is longer than on other official products. The eyebrows were stitched in, in a way that gives a sad or wonky expression.4. A fellow collector pointed this out to me as his main query about it being a fake. At first I put this down to just a quality control issue, but combined with everything else it's now clear that it too is part of being a fake.3. The head is slightly elongated, where it should be more round. I have a handful of real plushies, including ones with the same eye-type, and the eyes on those are quite firm/difficult to compress.2. The eyes on my one (fake) are squishy, they can be compressed fairly easy.
UPDATE: It's now been 4 years and I can confirm the item I was sent IS a fake! Don't think there's much that can be done for me 4 years down the line but a few pointers to look out for, if you purchase one of these.1.
